Above Thrope Planatation - Wednesday 23rd September 2015

Many thanks to Catriona and Graham on 9th Sept and Barry and Graham on 16th Sept for adding additional courses to the wall.  Today we had a team of five (Catriona, Barry, Richard P, Roderick and Tony)

The eighth week in a row of fine weather - can it last?"

Barry and Richard work on raising the height of the first gap

Whilst Catriona, Roderick and Tony start on the foundations on the next very big gap

Barry and Richard start to clear the next section
Where do wallers go for lunch when the wind gets up - behind the wall of course

Time to pack up before the rain arrives

Ready to start the foundations next week

Above Thrope Plantation - Wednesday 2nd September 2015

Another bright day with stunning views and a calm breeze on Thrope Edge, house martins and swallows in constant attendance hawking low over the heather blossom.
Catriona, Graham, Paul, Richard P, Roderick & Barry were the team, and steady progress was made raising the height of this stint before clearing the next.  A welcome pause for personally-delivered ice cream kept us going until mid afternoon.

Where have all the wallers gone, to lunch of course

All hands back on the wall in anticipation of  the ice cream arrival

Both sides of the wall at close of play

Many thanks to Barry and Graham for their words and pictures.
